PAL, NTSC, and PAL Video Systems

The activated aluminum oxide industry is projected to experience strong growth over the coming years due to increased industrial processes that utilize this material.

BASF provides a range of products designed to treat streams found in polyethylene, polypropylene and cumene units, such as F-200 spherical activated alumina which serves as an efficient desiccant in drying various liquids and gases.

PAL M-400

The PAL M-400 color system is a variant of PAL used to retrofit old video consoles. It offers several advantages over its counterparts; one such advantage being only changing the colour carrier needs to be altered while frame rate and scan lines remain unaffected, thus simplifying conversion between NTSC and PAL formats without changing encoder IC or any other complex circuitry.

PAL HP-150 products contain high concentrations of alumina, making them highly resistant against peptization by mineral acids due to dense packing of primary alumina agglomerates which resist dispersion into acidified aqueous solutionsthis property being defined by pseudoboehmite’sdispersibility index”.

After being subject to calcination, alumina M-300 and HP-150 granule particles show a BET surface area of 237 m2 g-1 (Table 1). Their pore diameters range between 15-60nm while the matrix has an ellipsoidal shape.

Pseudoboehmite alumina also boasts exceptional forming properties and is frequently employed as a matrix component or binding agent in shaped products. Due to its low abrasiveness, it makes an ideal grinding or polishing material, while its high density makes it suitable for applications requiring higher densities. When combined with its small particle size, this ensures high mechanical robustness, wear resistance, lower chemical inertness than NTSC alumina, as well as superior resistance against thermal shock.

PAL HP-150

PAL HP-150 is a medium density alumina material with excellent resistance to acid attack. This makes it an excellent choice for catalysts, ceramics and related applications that rely heavily on acidity of their surfaces for functioning correctly. Furthermore, its excellent flowability and fluidization properties make it suitable as an HPQ replacement sand replacement material.

Pseudoboehmite aluminas undergo phase transitions as their temperatures increase, leading to changes in their surface area and porosity characteristics. As temperatures increase further, surface area and porosity characteristics change; specifically the 400 and 300 m2/g surface areas found on PAL M-300 and HP-150 aluminas; these surfaces show a substitutional decline as temperatures increase further.

PAL Pseudoboehmite

PAL Pseudoboehmite is an aluminium product produced through the reaction between NaAlO2 solution and Al2 (SO4) 3 solution, boasting characteristics including high purity, large specific surface area, uniform pore size distribution and good water absorption/dispersibility/dispersion as well as moderate thermal stability. Moldable into various shapes it is often employed as desiccant, adsorbent or catalyst carrier materialor used for oil catalytic cracking due to its good permeability that helps molecularly dispersible heavy crude oil molecules molecule by molecular diffusion processes.

Contrary to boehmite, pseudoboehmite contains more water molecules intercalated within its octahedral layers, leading it to possess special physical and chemical properties of colloidal thixotropy under acid conditions. Furthermore, this material’s typical folded lamellar structure creates unique spatial network structures, larger pores gap, and sticky colloidal thixotropy when exposed to acids.

PAL M-300 and HP-150 are extrusion grade pseudoboehmite products featuring higher densities than regular calcined g-al2o3 products, making them an excellent solution for applications requiring high specific surface area, adsorption performance and dispersibility in acidified solutions with reduced Peptization Index values and enhanced dispersion capabilities. Furthermore, HP-150 boasts excellent wear resistance properties while still being easily formed into various shapes and sizes through molding processes.

PAL DD-6

PAL (PALeratina TV System) is an interlaced television system that employs a variant of the YUV colour space to encode colour. The composite video baseband signal contains monochrome luma and quadrature amplitude modulated colour subcarrier signals; and transmits two alternate lines U and V with typically 1.3MHz bandwidth bandwidths respectively for transmission of chrominance signal transmissions. In contrast to NTSC systems, which require manual tint controls to correct hue errors manually by phase reversal alone, PAL standard offers better saturation control since one-line delay lines eliminate saturation phase errors.

DD-6 Granular Activated Alumina is an excellent solution for arsenic and fluoride removal from drinking water, aluminum processing, pesticide production and fertilizer production, hydrogen peroxide production as well as quinone retention reduction on spent product. It can be used with any size and type of oxidation reactor including batch, continuous or regenerative.
